Academics AT BLI

Preparing for a Life of Calling

At the center of the Wesleyan tradition is a pursuit of the knowledge of God academically and spiritually. Taught by an esteemed faculty, the majority of whom hold doctoral degrees, BLI seeks to equip students with the knowledge they need to be effective ministers of the Gospel wherever God has called them. Through the Kairos Project, students participate in theological education that is affordable, accessible, relevant, and faithful.

In Februrary 2020, the BLI Board of Trustees unanimously agreed to enter into an integrated partnership with Sioux Falls Seminary and the Kairos Development Network. While the network includes over 30 partners at various levels of partnership, BLI will join three other schools at the level of an integrated partner. While we will be working out all the details of the partnership for some time, we will be moving forward with the adoption of the Kairos Project, a new approach to theological education, as our educational model.

The full implementation of the Kairos Project at BLI will take time, but interested students can begin their educational journey directly with our partner Sioux Falls Seminary. You can explore this exciting new approach to theological education with a BLI representative by contacting us.

I'd like to learn more about Kairos!
